It is dishonest to count people returning back to work, after the pandemic, as creating jobs. On February of 2020 , before the pandemic hit, 158,749,000 people were employed. On May of 2023 the U.S. had 160,721,000 employed. This is a net gain of 1,972,000 jobs. [Link]
