Russia invaded and illegally annexed Crimea. It wasn't recognised by any major country, thus the claim that Ukraine is using Starlink for offensive actions is false. Ukraine is attempting to recover territory under Russian occupation, in this way defending its sovereignty. [Link] [Link]

While starlink is not officially intended to be used by the military, Musk is clearly aware of this reality. His disapproval of liberating Ukrainian territory hence raises the question of his support for Putin. Musk has previously expressed opinions similar to Putins positions.
