When addressing contentious issues "Accurate" and "safe" are subjective terms & so are easily abused to promote one side and/or stifle opposing views. Community Notes is one way to ensure intentionally misleading statements & lies are addressed. Opinions should be freely allowed

While I agree with the points brought forth by the "added context" notes, they are merely personal opinions. Yes, "X" shouldnt do censorship 2.0, yes, "accurate" can be subjective when talking politics, but leave it in the comments like everyone else. NNN

NNN This is an announcement. One could create a note pointing to the fact that Twitter fired a lot of people and removed the things that X now claims are needed*, but these notes should be only to clarify things that are potentially misleading. *[Link]

Speech is neither safe nor unsafe. It simply is. No one can create a "safe" place for speech that should be rowdy and robust in order to be free. X is overstepping it's purpose by claiming it can make speech "safe." It is not possible.

@Safety at X is reverting to the policy stance maintained by former Twitter general counsel @vijaya, who was fired for identical censorship. [Link]
