Carbon and carbon dioxide are not "pollution" but naturally occuring elements that can be found on the periodic table. Labelling them as pollution is factually incorrect.

Canada's carbon tax hasn't had any positive effect whatsoever on the emissions. They are pretty stable since 2009, with one significantly drop in 2020, due to Covid lockdown. [Link]
