Just opened my word to confirm the community note in the earlier post and it is, in fact true that is disabled by default. There is a note in the earlier post that might justify what happened, that X's IT must have a group policy and Elon PC inherited it. [Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(14-2-9) Author

Community Notes was not wrong. You need to turn the option on manually. [Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(8-0-11) Author

Elon Musk is presenting his opinion as fact. This is easily verifiable by opening Word up on your computer. This setting is NOT on by default. Elon’s post is wrong that community notes was incorrect. [Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(16-2-8) Author

The community note in Elon’s screenshot is not using a Microsoft website for truth about Microsoft’s product. The source is an independent 3rd party. [Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(15-1-8) Author

In the picture on the left, "Reset to default" is grey (indicating the default settings are already active) and the "Inclusiveness" toggle is deactivated. This aligns with the note OP claims to be incorrect. [Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(19-0-6) Author

The community note in the original post is a third party, not Microsoft. Additionally, "reset to default" is grey which shows the default settings are applied and the "inclusiveness" toggle disabled, supporting the post's community note of it being not a default. No one seems to understand Elon's post here. The option is DISABLED yet Word is still suggesting to use "inclusive" language. If the option defaults to on or off is irrelevant if Word makes these suggestions even if the setting is off. NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(2-1-10) Author

Elon is wrong on both counts. You can go to Office365 to verify. The setting is off by default and it does not flag for 'sensitivity' when turned off. Test with this sentence: "That ret*rded c*nt is an insane b*tch." Verify grammar check working: "I are having fun." [Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(13-2-5) Author

The note showing the website: [Link] Is from Jul 2020 and is out of date. It is an abuse of CN to use outdated information to “prove” a point. CURRENTLY_RATED_NOT_HELPFUL(0-0-0) Author
