The word "Israel" itself does not appear in the Quran, although the term "Bani Isra'il" (Children of Israel) is mentioned many times, typically referring to the descendants of Prophet Jacob (known as Israel) through his sons. [Link] [Link] [Link]

Israel is not mentioned in th quran as a country nor as a place. You have to consider the full expression: beni Israel, which means descendants of Prophet Jacob (known as Israel). [Link] [Link] [Link]

The word "Israel" appears in "Bnei Israel" apparently. Its easy to understand that the writer meant to any form/use of the term "Israel" in the Quran.
