Dead chickens don't need wings. The companies that produce meat, such as KFC, meat sellers and others kill the animal before selling their parts. Maintaining their alive would be animal cruelty. Sources: [Link] [Link] [Link]

Chickens are able to jump higher by using their wings, despite being unable to fly. And while I personally dislike PETA as well, if you really want to de-legitimize them then you need to stop giving them attention, they're fueled and funded nearly entirely by outrage.
