Nowruz is a Zoroastrian rite dating back to the 6th century BCE, marking the beginning of the new year and ushering in spring. Nowruz is celebrated by all the countries & population groups who were once a part of the Persian Empire. Singling out a single group is misleading. [Link]

This post is deceptive. Nowruz is not a Kurdish custom; rather, its tradition stems from the ancient Zoroastrian religion of Iranians and Kurds are merely one of the numerous Iranian ethnicities that participate in the celebration. [Link]
