Perform the same Google search yourself - “bloodbath definition”. Mine comes up with the same text as for OP “ an event or situation in which many people are killed in an extremely violent way.” [Link]

NNN. The results may be different from different countries. Mine (not USA) is showing the "newer" description.

These are two different results. The first is from dictionary.com the second is Oxford. They are also from two different browsers. You can tell by the different icons and link options shown in the pictures. Dictionary.com which is used as the control has not changed. [Link]

If you’re outside the US, you’ll get the new definition. I’ve tried it myself every way I can on multiple devices, browsers, VPN’s etc. Saying “the definition didn’t change, their dictionary did” is irrelevant. Google’s primary definition on the main page changed. Definitely NNN

I searched for the definition of bloodbath a few days ago and Dictionary.com was the top hit. Tried again today and the top hit changed to the Oxford definition which happens to omit: "2. Informal. a period of disastrous loss or reversal..." The original post is correct. [Link]

Tried it in Canada and featured (top) response was indeed: an event or situation in which many people are killed in a violent manner. "he allowed the protest to go ahead despite warnings that it would spark a bloodbath" NNN

NNN Post is correct Google had a different reference site, Dictionary.com quoted last week, (which you could click link) this week they're cropped results from another reference site, Oxford Languages 100% altered in less than 1 week DuckDuckGoGo still has the Google old version [Link] [Link]

The screenshots show entirely different search result pages - notice the different tabs (first has “perspectives”, both have different icons in the search box, etc). One is showing a Dictionary.com excerpt, the other an Oxford excerpt. Google doesn’t create, write, or modify definitions. [Link]

NNN. The fact that a different dictionary source is now shown is the entire fkin point. They used to have dictionary.com as the primary definition shown when googling. They SWITCHED IT to one that does not show the economic definition in the results. This is the manipulation.
