“DEI” stands for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Which is a term term used to describe policies and programs that promote the representation and participation of different groups of individuals. The acronym has no discriminatory meaning behind it. Source: [Link]

NNN - This post is clearly expressing an opinion. Also, based recent trends, DEI is often used in a derogatory manner as many people believe that DEI is allowing tons of less qualified minorities to get jobs. DEI is definitely considered derogatory to many people. [Link]

NNN. In this context the provided value-neutral definition of DEI is a non sequitur; a diversion from its established use as a euphemism. Mayors are not chosen by "policies and programs that promote the representation and participation of different groups of individuals".

Several Twitter/X users are referring to Black politicians as “DEI hires” in an attempt to blame failing infrastructure on ethnicity. The OP is is pointing out the use of colloquial use of the term “DEI” in place of derogatory terms & false claims of reverse racism. [Link]
