NNN "samuraI" is somewhat of an elastic term and has been used for mercenaries, confidants, militants, and police, all regardless of tradition. This is supported by the fact that the sources provided by the person who wrote the note also refer to Yasuke as "the black samurai". [Link]

NNN. The first 2 suggested CNs are inconsistent with linked sources, - They do not disprove the claim that Yasuke was a Samurai, but rather support it. In addition, serving (in the military or a Sovereign) doesn't necessarily make you a "servant".

Yasuke is not a “SAMURAI (knight)”. he is a servant. In an era when the class system was strict, Yasuke, who was a black slave, could not become a SAMURAI. [Link]
