Rating the top community note as not helpful is definitely a biased opinion and not neutral language. The top note doesn't show support of rape. Law already recognises the cruelty of marital rape under Domestic Violence Act 2005 allowing grounds for divorce but it's not criminalized. The current Community note made a big misinterpretation. Indian law doesnt specifically criminalise marital rape but ofcourse its a crime under Domestic Violence act. Its absurd to say that its legal. It has also been interpreted as a crime by High courts. [Link] None(0-0-0) Author
