The 2022 USTS survey says in its methodology that it is only directed at people who consider themselves trans and non-binary NOW. It was not directed at people who may have considered themselves to be in that group at one point but do not any longer. Selection bias issues. [Link]

NNN. It’s a survey of TRANS people. Why would they interview people who are not trans?

NNN. This is like if someone surveyed republicans to find out what they believe and you came in and said "SELECTION BIAS ISSUE, WHAT ABOUT DEMOCRATS WHO MAY HAVE AT ONE TIME BEEN REPUBLICANS?". It's a survey of trans people, they're not gonna survey non-trans people you clown.

Including only people who currently identify as transgender results in the fallacy of “begging the question”. Since those not satisfied with transitioning are likely to desist or detransition, the survey will be biased towards satisfied people. [Link]

NNN You can argue about the methodology in the comments of the post. A community note cannot be based simply on: A: Your a-priori imagination about what trans people do when they are unhappy. B: Your awareness of the general concept of selection bias.

The report itself doesn’t provide the survey questions, and tellingly, “life” is never in quotes. I.e. “life satisfaction” is editorializing. The survey was likely ambiguous, similar to the Dissent from Darwinism ploy by creationists to falsely portray doubt of evolution. [Link] [Link]
