1. NNN, it's a political opinion. 2. The Community Noter complains (a) it takes a long time to develop new production, and (b) existing production was on the decline already. These claims would seem to support the Original Post rather than provide corrective context.

This is misleading. There is enough generation capacity, but during peak hours expensive fossil generators are needed which cost a lot of money. Saving energy during this time can reduce overall costs for everyone. [Link] [Link] [Link]
