The study compares 1,500 patients with gender affirming surgery to 15 million people without. It is not comparing anyone before and after they receive surgery. The conclusion, therefore, is not 'surgery increases suicide rates' but instead 'trans people have higher rates' [Link]

This study compares those who have had gender-affirming surgery compared to those who haven’t. It does not specifically compare those who identify as trans that either did or did not have gender-affirming surgery. [Link]

The surgery recipients were compared to the general population (i.e. non-transgender folks). The study still sees its benefits, "it remains vital to recognize and support the positive impacts that these surgical interventions can have on the lives of transgender individuals." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC11063965/

NNN. All suggested notes voted as irrelevant and missing key point of discussion. Regardless if *there are* benefits to gender surgery, risk of suicide increases 12x. Claim is verified through proposed study. Use comments to argue if you don't agree.

The notes proposed fail to address the psychological component. Rates climb after surgery because it's last try to fix their problems. When the transition doesn't make life easier, it heightens despair. No issue with the OP. Nonoteneeded.com
