This post makes people think that caviar is common and easy to find. Caviar actually is expensive mainly because of the rarity of the fish. Wild sturgeon are endangered, and there are simply fewer fish to harvest now. Also, only female sturgeons are able to "carry" caviar. [Link]

The post is implying that caviar should be cheap because one fish can produce many. However caviar are from Sturgeon which is now considered endangered. Sturgeon Fish are killed are producing eggs and Only female Sturgeon can produce caviar. [Link] [Link]
