The difference is that the puberty blockers are used to stop precocious/early puberty. Once a kid reaches the appropriate age for puberty they are taken off the blockers to go through puberty. They are not used to stop puberty indefinitely in precocious cases. [Link]

NNN - there is absolutely no suggestion that transgender teens should remain on puberty blockers "indefinitely". All available resources list the use of blockers to "pause" puberty, with teens continuing with HRT or natural puberty once they have had time to consider. [Link]

NNN - Puberty blockers, when used for gender affirming care, do not delay puberty indefinitely. A patient will either discontinue the blockers and continue their original puberty, or take exogenous hormones to begin transition. [Link]
