This post is missing context. Vice President Kamala Harris has stated that being black does not come at the exclusion of who she is in terms of β€œ Indian Heritage β€œ. [Link]

Context missing: Mr. Trump was questioning Ms. Harris use of her race for situations that benefited her politically. β€œShe was Indian all the way and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she became a black person. I think somebody should look into that.” [Link] [Link]

No context needed, that is the full clip. Note claims that Trump was just questioning her use of race, but he specifically stated "I didn't know she was black" and "look into it" as though she isn't. She identifies as both and embraces both at the same time.

Kamala Harris is biracial, with an Indian mom and a black dad. In the Senate, there had been many black Senators before her, but never an Indian - making her the "first Indian American Senator." Some very weird people think this makes her "not really black." [Link] [Link]

NNN-in the 19century US adopted the 1 drop rule which means a single drop of black blood, you are Black. Black people did not make this rule and white people or Trump does not get to change it to fit their narrative.
