International Boxing Association (IBA) president Umar Kremlev said Imane Khelif and Taiwan's Lin Yu-Ting both failed a 'series of DNA tests' which proved them to have 'XY chromosomes', which resulted in their previous disqualifications. The IOC chose to let them fight. [Link]

This boxer is not "transgender" but is biologically male. It is believed that the boxer may have a DSD (Difference of Sexual Development). Tests carried out by the IBA (whose eligibility criteria are XX or XY chromosomes) ruled that Khelif was ineligible for female category. [Link]

Imane Khelif is a woman, she was born a woman. She is NOT transsexual. However, she suffers from hyperandrogeny (higher than normal levels of androgens in the blood), a disease that results in a higher than normal testosterone level. [Link] In Algeria, it is illegal to be LGBT.
