8GB unified and running macOS is equivalent to 16GB on a comparable Windows laptop. In Apple Unified Memory Architecture physical memory is shared across the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, and others. NNN The proposed note is factually incorrect. 8GB RAM on MacOS on an M3 is not comparable to 16GB of RAM on windows.
