Irish citizenship can only be removed from those who acquired it through naturalisation. Citizenship via ancestry is not naturalisation, therefore there is no legal path for this to occur. [Link]

This is a purposeful misrepresentation of the facts. Some members of the Irish parliament have asked the government to investigate how Robinson has an Irish Passport. His mother is Irish. Even so, you don't need to be born in Ireland to have an Irish passport. [Link]

Tommy Robinson is suspected of having lied that he was born in Ireland when applying for the passport which would make it invalid. This is not related to whether he is eligible for an Irish passport through Irish family.
