This picture is from 2017. 7 years before this tweet was posted and in a completely different economic environment i.e. before the Liz Truss administration. Yet the tweeter purports that this picture is from the 2024 campaign, which is false. [Link]

The economic situation in 2017 was still dire. And even if it wasn't you'd expect a politician's views to not U-turn this much in 7 years.

NNN - post is factual. It also States it was before the election.

NNN “before the election” is somewhat misleading, as readers will probably assume they mean just before the 2024 General Election nonetheless, it’s technically correct and doesn’t warrant a CN imo [Link]

NNN - the OP says this politician made this promise before the election. A note saying it was in 2017 doesn’t correct that it confirms it.

This picture is from the 2017 general election campaign, not the 2024 general election campaign. Labour did not promise there wouldn't be cuts to the Winter Fuel Allowance in 2024. [Link] [Link]

Gareth Snell was first elected as an MP in 2017. This poster of pledges begins with the wording “If reelected”. Not “if elected” but “reelected”. It cannot therefore date from the 2017 campaign but must be from a subsequent General Election. Either 2019 or 2024. [Link]

Mr Snell was elected twice in 2017 once in January and once in June, this picture is from his June 2017 campaign. Mr Snell did not make this promise in the 2024 campaign. [Link] [Link]
