This is an image from the Trans-Mississippi Exposition, a World’s Fair hosted in Omaha in 1898. The structures were built to be temporary, made up of plaster of Paris & horsehair intended to only survive the short duration of the 5-month exhibition & then to be demolished. [Link] [Link]
