The first shots were fired from the Palestinian positions and returned by the Israeli DRUZE soldiers. Don’t shoot at armed soldiers, as they may return fire. [Link]

The facts explained in the tweet are factually correct. CN argues that they deserved to be shot because Palestinians had started the shooting. However, these two people had nothing to do with it and claiming they deserved to die for the actions of others is horrendous. [Link]

The French journalist who claimed to have filmed this was in Ramallah that day, not in Gaza, the shots did not come from the position of the IDF, it later transpires in the full video that the child was alive. [Link] [Link] [Link]

No Note needed. The tweet did not claim any French journalist shot the video. The event was filmed by Talal Abu Rahma, a Palestinian television cameraman freelancing for France 2. [Link]

NNN - mohammad al-jurrah died on the 30th of september 2000, the day these images were captured in Gaza. The israeli report claiming he had not been shot and is still alive is widely disputed and provides no evidence for it's claims. [Link]

NNN - the people trying to CN this use sources talking about "Pallywood." Literally an anti Palestinian conspiracy theory saying all the images of Palestinians suffering are staged. It doesn't get more biased than that. Keep this insane shit out of Community Notes.
