The claim that FEMA has redirected funds from disaster victims to migrants has been debunked. False information further harms the victims affected by the hurricane and those who are assisting them. [Link] [Link]

It’s simply the White House press secretary from a 2024 recording vs 2022 recording to back up the poster’s claim. Posting a .gov page as a community notes citation has one issue, website info can be changed on a dime. Video cannot.

NNN. Watch the video. "Funding is also available through FEMAs emergency food and shelter program." Means that FEMA used funds as stated above.

The WH press secretary states, in her own words, what the Biden-Harris Administration is doing with the FEMA funds… giving it to migrants. In her own words. No CN needed. No additional source needed.

“FEMA took money & used it for Migrants… why FEMA is out of money” is a false claim NOT supported by the vid FEMA EFSF: border crisis [Link] FEMA DRF: Hurricane response [Link] These are different funds. $ was NOT taken from Disaster Relief & given to Food & Shelter for migrants [Link] [Link]

FEMA has not diverted disaster funds to aid illegal immigrants. Claims confuse two separate sources: Disaster Relief Fund is for disasters only, while Shelter and Services Program (SSP) helps cities with migrant influxes. No funds are redirected from disaster response. [Link] [Link]
