Jesus Christ wasn’t born in Palestine but in a Bethlehem which was part of the Roman Empire. It was located in the province of Judea, which was under Roman rule. The Palestinian flag, however, was officially adopted only about 60 years ago. [Link] [Link]

Jesus' birthplace is not the relevant part of the tweet. It could very well be specified with a normal comment.

Note needed The land that was Judea where Jesus was born currently is within the state of Israel. The choice to use Israel is that they are the currently reigning government, and UN recognized country for said land. [Link]

Seriously, NNN. Most of the flags track to current stakeholders of the respective region. Muhammad wasn’t born in Saudi Arabia, Gutenberg wasn’t born in the German Federal Republic, St. Paul wasn’t born in modern Turkey. Get lost.

Jesus was from Nazareth, a town in Galilee. Galilee was a client state of Rome during his life, and Nazareth is now part of the modern-day state of Israel. The representation of Jesus's origin would be more accurately described as Roman or Israeli, rather than Palestinian. [Link]

NNN - trying to apply modern day nation states to historical figures is already an opinion in itself. Keep it to the comments. For example, Christopher Columbus: Italy didn't even exist during that time, and he sailed under Spain (unified Castile and Leon)
