Prussia was not mostly Polish. The Old Prussian territories were of Prussio-Germanic heritage, were conquered in the 1300s by the Teutonic Knights. After the fall of the Knights, their lands were split between the Duchy of Prussia and Poland and reclaimed subsequently. [Link] [Link] [Link] [Link]

NNN. While the land was gained from the partition of Poland, nothing in the note says that the lands were ethnically Germany. What the OP said was factual in that most Prussian territory in 1800 is not within the borders of the Federal Republic of Germany

Most of Prussia was outside the territory of traditional Germany (which existed until 1806). Prussia used to be a duchy within Poland. Only the principality of Brandenburg was within 🇩🇪 proper. As opposed to other CNs this has nothing to do with ethnicity, though. See map: [Link]

These are Slavic and Baltic lands. Old Prussians were Balts. Germans were invaders and colonizers which tried to eradicate every trace of other ethnicities in this region. They destroyed Prussian culture and stole their name for themselves. [Link] [Link] [Link] [Link] [Link] [Link]
