This post is correct. The 13th amendment of the constitution allows for slavery and involuntary servitude to exist "as punishment for a crime" [Link]

California's Prop 6 for the 2024 Election is titled as "Eliminates Constitutional Provision Allowing Involuntary Servitude For Incarcerated Persons." The proposition doesn't include language relating to slavery. The 13th Amdt. says labor can be used as punishment for a crime. [Link] [Link]
