2.5kg of grains produce 1kg of beef. And 50-70% of a cow's feed is made from forages and feed that humans can't eat. Moreover, humans can't survive on carbohydrates alone as we are omnivores. [Link][Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(41-1-1) Author

Two excerpts from articles in the linked site mention a FeedConversionRatio of 6-25 and 5.7-12.7 for beef, thereby making the post's claim plausible. [Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(1-0-3) Author

1 cow can feed 298 people The image says that one cow only have 1kg of meat, but if 1 cow alive weight 1000 LBS (453KG), and the carcass 580 LBS (263 KG) you probably have 330 LBS (149 KG) of meat, and if 1KG of meat can feed 2 people, 149 KG can feed 298 people [Link] NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(13-0-3) Author

NNN Nothing clearly false here. On the other hand the note saying 2.5kg of grain are turned into 1kg of beef is ACTUALLY misleading, since it is not only the grain which is contributing to the 1kg of beef, but also all the other feed. 16:1 ratio is extrapolated for grain. The post is saying that 16KG of grain (or other plant food) can EITHER feed 20 people, OR it can be fed to an animal and that 16KG will be converted to 1KG of meat, which is only enough to feed 2 people. It is not saying an entire cow is only enough to feed 2 people. NEEDS_MORE_RATINGS(1-0-3) Author
