This has happened .As a recent example, vaccines have erased diseases like smallpox and polio, hence becoming tradition for safety. Now, these diseases are gone, and antivaxxers believe vaccinations are unnecessary. [Link]

NN - This is a fact, not an opinion. The rise in antivaxxers is equated to a lack of diseases we face in the modern world. [Link] [Link]

NN. OP is not expressing an opinion, they're making a false claim and stating it as fact. A Community Note is needed to provide correction and context. [Link]

NNN as vaccines are scientific, evidence based practice, not "tradition" and they are not being given up for "progress" or "efficiency" if you want to disagree, post in the replies.

NNN. Opinion, not a false claim. The posts are an abstract debate about human history: Concepts/narratives about "tradition" and "progress" cannot be cleanly fact-checked. Arguments about why anti-vaccination conspiracy theories are currently popular isn't relevant.

While its true that a similar thing has happened regarding Vaccines, they arent relevant to this post. Vaccines aren't considered a "tradition", nor were they abandoned for "efficiency" or "progress". They're abandoned in FAVOR of traditionalism and conspiracy theories. [Link] [Link] [Link]
