Whilst Farage was not an elected politician at the time; he was actively campaigning and had announced his running for election. He was at a political event in Clacton. It was in this capacity that the milkshake was thrown. Hence CN is disingenuous.

NNN, The man who hit Corbyn with an egg was jailed for 28 days. [Link] Prescott enacted his vigilante response and could himself have been liable but for a two-tier judiciary.

NNN. Farage wasn’t an MP at the time of the attack, but he is now and it was during the election campaign. This is just pointless sniping.
