NNN — top CN isn't supported by the own link it cites. Yes, senators have six-year terms, but elections are staggered in 3x 2-year cohorts so as Mr. Musk suggests, senators voting "yes" on this bill can indeed be voted out in two years. It's in the source's 2nd sentence: [Link]

While a senate term is 6 years, elections are held every 2 years when about a third of senators are elected. The election scheduled for November 3, 2026 has 33 senate seats for voters to select. Additional special elections may be required in some states to fill vacancies. [Link]

Not all senators who may vote for this continuing resolution will be up for election in two years. Under Article I of the Constitution, one-third of the Senate is up for election every two years. [Link]

NNN - Stop using community notes to express your opinion or whine about someone else's opinion. The post is just an opinion... Take it to the comments.

NNN - STOP abusing CN because you don't like someone's opinion. This is not a vehicle, or personal soapbox. Read the rules, and learn to be impartial.

NNN- start striping the CN function from abusers. We spend more time and energy on these people than we do the actual post.
