The House passed legislation funding cancer research for children 3/5/2024 by a vote of 384-4. The Senate did not act on the legislation. Sen Charles Schumer controls which legislation is voted on in the Senate. There was no reason to include it in the Continuing Resolution. [Link]

There was never a need to place this bill, Gabriella Miller Kids First Research 2.0, in the December House CR's, bc it passed the House in March 2024. It has now passed the Senate, so there is no need to consider it in the next Congress. [Link]

H.R. 3391 was held up for consideration in the Senate by objection from @RandPaul (R-KY). On Dec. 20, 2024, Sen. Paul withdrew his objection and H.R. 3391 passed in the Senate by unanimous consent. There was a need to put this in prior CRs to get around Sen Paul's blockage [Link] [Link]
