Mary was not a “Palestinian” in any sense of the word. In the modern sense she was neither an Arab nor a Muslim - she was a Jew, a Judean. In the historical geographic sense, she was not even from the Roman province Palestina, as the name had not been created yet. [Link]

NNN It is not contradictory to be Palestinian and Jewish. One can be Palestinian and Jewish, Christian or Muslim. The multiple CNs reveal anti-Palestinian racism. Moreover, Jewish is not synonymous with Israeli, one can be Jewish without being Israeli, and even against Israel.

The CN that claims that the name Palestina was used to describe the entire region of Israel is false. Herodotus' use of "Palestine" refers primarily to the coastal area of the southern Levant, which corresponds to modern-day Gaza and parts of southern Israel. [Link]
