Note is implying the 100k sold are all Tesla vehicles. The statistic given is a representation of all 100k electric vehicles sold, not just Tesla. A new statistic would need to be generated that would exclude all other electric brands and solely focusing on data from Tesla. [Link]

Tesla's latest vehicle fire data shows that between 2012 and 2022, approximately 1 Tesla vehicle fire event occurred for every 130M vehicle miles traveled. By comparison, data from the NFPA and U.S. DOT indicate that 1 vehicle fire occurs in the US for every 18M miles traveled. [Link]
