India does NOT have "30% flat direct taxes" India follows a slab-based taxation method. For lower parts of a 30 Lakh salary, lower percentages would apply. Each slab considers only "part" of the income that falls in that particular slab. Refer link [Link]

The BMW i7 M70 costs 169,675 USD [Link] That is about 1.42 Cr INR. But base cost in India is about 1 Crore more. 1.67 times Where is extra money going? Most towards import duties which are also form of tax. Ergo, "rich" pay extra for such product and GST on top of it.
