OP refers to an article citing 41.4m adderall prescriptions filled last year. These generally come in monthly allotments (30 pills, sometimes less, e.g. 14, with the ongoing shortage). The real number of Americans consistently on adderall must therefore be far less than 41.4m. [Link]
