It is false that "emulation is illegal". While companies like Sony make this claim, they always fail in court. [Link] Most emulators are open-source and developed by communities in the open. What is illegal is distributing copyrighted games/ROM files.

This is no different to a kid breaking down to say, a disney character, people wearing costumes in streets for money, cosplayers, or even clowns. Anything can make a kid cry, and that's normal, sometimes they freak out, or they'll like it, but this isn't specific to furries. [Link]
