Presidential jobs numbers are consistently evaluated from their inauguration date. Inaugurated in Jan 2021, the US economy had 142.9k vs 158.1k as of this post. Arguing the need to evaluate these numbers in a unique context should be left to the comments. NNN

Governments have TWO methods of fighting inflation: Monetary Policy and Fiscal Policy. [Link] The Inflation Reduction Act was a Fiscal Policy intended to suppress price increases (ie, inflation), not to reduce prices (ie, deflation). The Fed raising rates was Monetary Policy.
