she doesn't say "to the US antebellum south" at almost any point in history, many cultures in human history (including indigenous ones) have had slavery and many have not had slavery. so any "necessary context" that assumes she means US South is a bit absurd. [Link]

This is indeed improbable, but it's 1 in 100 million, not 1 trillion. This statistic is from multiplying the trailing zeros of the percentages. As Daniel recognizes in the comments, his original calculation is wrong because there are only 2 degrees of freedom in 3 percentages: [Link]

Humans and horses need roughly the same electrolytes (Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium) - same source as a NN note: [Link] Ratios matter but with high error bars. Anything arguing this isn't safe for humans needs to specifically say why the ratio is v wrong, and cite a source.

The post is (a) an opinion but also (b) more mythic than anything: It generalizes so vastly and sweepingly about Americans (many of whom we all know DID vote for Kamala Harris) that it's clearly not saying "literally all Americans X" but something more about America's soul itself
