The foundation of this stat and statement are flawed. The underlying methodology relies on data for >1 year old and <20yo. When adding in 0-1, infant mortality takes over. When excluding 18 and 19yo, which are not considered children, the leading cause is motor vehicle deaths. [Link]

It’s a paradox to believe in both Title 9 and affirmative action at the same time. Discrimination by race is discrimination, even if that discrimination benefits one group over another. Affirmative action is by definition racist and this decision is a huge win for racial equality

No books have been Banned in Florida, however books that contain graphic sexual material have been made not available in schools to young children. Parents wanting to expose their children to this sexual material are free to buy those books on their own dime.

A "Ban" generally means something is not available for sale or possession in a state. There is no evidence that a single book has been "banned" in Florida. What HAS happened is that pornographic material has been made not available to elementary students. [Link]

"Gun Deaths" is not the same as total, actual deaths. There is no correlation beteen gun ownership and total, all-cause, homicide rate. When guns are banned, criminals simply switch to other weapons, like knives, poison, vehicular and other methods of harm. [Link]
